This is the letter I sent to Pedego to see if they are interested in sponsoring me.

Subject: Sponsorship Proposal for a Cross-Country Journey of Resilience, Recovery, and a Bit of Fun

Dear Pedego Electric Bikes Corporate Team,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Regina Seaman, and I’m writing to propose something a little out of the ordinary—a cross-country journey that highlights not only Pedego’s incredible bikes but also the resilience of the human spirit. And trust me, there’s a lot of resilience here.

I am 48 years old now, but nine years ago, my life changed in a split second. I was in a motorcycle accident that left me with 26 fractures in my spine and ribs, a crushed pelvis held together by rods, and a traumatic brain injury. To say recovery has been tough would be the understatement of the century. There have been plenty of moments when I wasn’t sure what the future held—or even if I’d want to take part in it.

But then, four months ago, I discovered the Pedego electric bike, and something clicked. For the first time in years, I felt freedom—real freedom and joy—again. I wasn’t just someone recovering from an accident anymore; I was a person with a purpose, moving forward (quite literally). My Pedego has given me back something I thought I had lost forever: my independence. Riding it is like therapy—except with more wind in my curly hair and no co-payments.

Which leads me to why I’m writing to you. I’ve set a goal that’s both exciting and maybe just a little bit crazy: I want to ride my Pedego from the Santa Monica Pier all the way to the Financial District of Manhattan. Yes, coast to coast. I figure, if Forrest Gump could run across the country, I can certainly bike it—especially with the right support.

And that’s where Pedego comes in. I’m hoping you’ll consider sponsoring this journey by providing:

1. A Support Team: I’m pretty handy, but I’m no mechanic, and I’d rather not be stuck in the middle of nowhere trying to figure out what went wrong. A mechanic and a van full of spare parts would be a lifesaver—literally.

2. Lodging and Meals: A bed and some decent food would go a long way in keeping me on the road. After all, I’ll need more than granola bars and a tent to make it across the country.

3. Technical Resources: I’ll need extra batteries and other gear to make sure the journey keeps moving smoothly. Trust me, I don’t want to be the person pushing an electric bike across Kansas and end up in Oz.

4. Documenting the Journey: While I’m hardly a social media star (let’s just say I’m more of a behind-the-scenes person), I know this journey has the potential to inspire others. I’d love Pedego’s help in documenting and sharing this adventure, maybe through someone who’s more comfortable posting than I am.

Why This Benefits Pedego:

This journey will generate significant exposure for Pedego across multiple channels—local and national media, online platforms, and word of mouth. The cross-country nature of this ride guarantees visibility in a variety of markets, and the inspirational narrative of overcoming adversity aligns perfectly with Pedego’s brand ethos of empowering people to move forward, no matter their limitations. Each mile I cover is a testament to the strength, reliability, and life-changing potential of Pedego bikes.

Additionally, as I travel to the Financial District of Manhattan, I’d love to visit Pedego locations along the way. This would provide a unique opportunity to showcase the bike in local markets and create brand awareness for Pedego in cities across the country, allowing you to connect directly with potential new customers.

I’d also love to collaborate with Steve Pike at the Glendale/Peoria, AZ, location to brush up on my knowledge of the bike and make sure I’m prepared for the challenges ahead. Steve’s expertise would be invaluable in helping me make this ride a success.

In short, this journey is equal parts bold, challenging, and (hopefully) inspiring. I’d be honored to represent Pedego along the way, and together, I think we can show the world what’s possible when the right bike meets a rider with a big dream and a whole lot of determination.

Thank you so much for considering this proposal. I’m excited to discuss how we can work together to turn this dream into reality.

With warmest regards and a lot of enthusiasm,

Regina Seaman
